ADA Services is funded through the Mid-Atlantic DBTAC
THE PENNSYLVANIA ADA COALITION:
- Provides administrative support for Coalition meetings and activities. Provides updated information about the Coalition for the ADA Center website.
- Provides at least two (2) sponsored/co-sponsored trainings on general ADA topics to the public.
- Identify hospitality entities in the state for outreach and conduct at least two (2) Customer Service & the ADA trainings, each for at least five (5) people from a hospitality entity.
- Participates in at least five (5) public awareness activities (displays, exhibits, short presentations, material distribution, etc.) dispersed throughout the state, of which a minimum of two (2) target the business community. Of these five (5) activities, only two (2) may be within a fifty (50) mile radius of the Coalition Coordinator’s office and each must reach a minimum of twenty (20) people.
- Participates in a Coalition retreat in the Spring of 2009 in or near Rockville, Maryland. Expenses for this retreat will be paid by the DBTAC and need not be included in the Coalition’s budget.
- Participates in the annual DBTAC: Mid-Atlantic ADA Center/ADA Coalition meeting and Mid-Atlantic ADA Update in the Fall of 2009 near Baltimore, Maryland. Expenses for this meeting and for the ADA Update registration will be paid by the DBTAC and need not be included in the Coalition’s budget.
- Participates in bi-monthly conference calls coordinated and sponsored by the DBTAC: Mid-Atlantic ADA Center.
- Initiate at least one (1) cooperative venture partnering with at least one other agency in the state. These may include consumer ADA trainings, exhibits at conferences, and public education efforts, including developing brochures/materials.
- Provide monthly reports, using electronic forms provided, by the 5th of each month for the preceding month.
- Complete a minimum of ten (10) hours of “knowledge building activities” as outlined below. Five (5) hours are to be reported in the mid-year status report and five (5) hours are to be reported in the final report.
- Participate in any teleconference on the ADA (e.g., www.ada-audio.org)
- Attend a conference or training on the ADA
- Complete any online training pertaining to the ADA (e.g., www.adacourse.org)
- Read ADA publications and materials not previously read
- Watch an ADA-related video (videos can be borrowed from the DBTAC)
