Meet the Administration
Renee Sluzalis
Since assuming the role of Executive Director in January 2008, Renee’s vision and leadership has guided CILNCP to new levels of advocacy and service in the north central region of PA and beyond.
CILNCP is now referred to as Roads To Freedom (RTF) Center for Independent Living of North Central PA as the new image has engulfed new programs and new ideas that have fostered strong disability rights and healthy independent living for people with disabilities.
Renee began her employment at CILNCP in 1999 as an Independent Living Specialist, later became the Statewide Action Team Community Organizer, and then Independent Living Department Manger before being selected as ED.
Renee has a lifelong experience living with persons with disabilities. Her father was a Disabled Veteran and her oldest daughter has Cerebral Palsy. She finds herself constantly trying to stay one step ahead of her daughter’s next hurdle in life and feels truly blessed to be in a position that helps remove those barriers, not only for her daughter but for the countless others behind her.
Renee, and her husband William, are the parents of three children, Brittani, Shaylin and Makaylin.
Renee has served as chairperson for several disability related committees in CILNCP service areas but gainful employment for people with disabilities is where her passion lies.
As Executive Director, Renee has continued to build upon, and expand, an independent living center that has become a strong and growing voice for persons with disabilities
