Minimum Qualifications

​

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum of two years’ experience working in an agency or organization providing human services to the community, with an understanding of Independent Living Philosophy and disability culture.

• Strong understanding of Independent Living philosophy and the empowerment of persons with disabilities to achieve personal goals and improve quality of life.

• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to multitask and manage various duties simultaneously.

• Capable of working effectively with a diverse range of individuals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with adaptive technology.

• Proficiency in computer software.

• Team-oriented with proven related experience.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently when necessary.

• Personal experience in independent living and/or people with lived experience of a disability are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications

​

• Bachelor’s Degree in the field of study relevant to the provision of Independent Living Services or at least three years of experience in the direct delivery of human services.

• 3-4 years of experience in the direct delivery of human services.

• Personal experience in independent living and/or people with lived experience of a disability are encouraged to apply.
