In-home Care Attendant

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

​

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Must possess basic math, reading, and writing skills.

  • Must possess a valid social security number.

  • Must be willing to submit to a criminal record check, child abuse clearance, and FBI fingerprinting. Must PASS Criminal, Child Abuse and

  • FBI fingerprinting clearances according to DPW regulations.

  • Must demonstrate the capability to perform health maintenance activities required by consumer’s Person-Centered Service Plan or be willing to receive training in the performance of health maintenance activities.

  • Must have the required skills to perform personal assistance services specified in the consumer’s Person-Centered Service Plan.

  • Must support the Independent Living Philosophy.

  • Must submit and pass a TB test

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

​

  • Provide essential personal assistant services such as bathing, dressing, bowel/bladder management, transfer assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and other tasks as outlined on the consumer’s Person-centered Service Plan.

  • Ability to lift, bend and perform other physical tasks as directed by the consumer or supervisor.

  • Ability to travel when needed.

  • Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and evenings.

  • Ability to be punctual and dependable.

  • Ability to be respectful of all individuals for whom you work, both in the community and in the office setting.
