In-home Care Attendant
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Must possess basic math, reading and writing skills.

Must possess a valid social security number.

Must be willing to submit to a criminal record check, child abuse clearance and FBI fingerprinting. Must PASS Criminal, Child Abuse and
-
FBI fingerprinting clearances according to DPW regulations.
-
Must demonstrate the capability to perform health maintenance activities required by consumer’s Person-Centered Service Plan or be willing to receive training in performance of health maintenance activities.

Must have the required skills to perform personal assistance services specified in consumer’s Person-Centered Service Plan.

Must support the Independent Living Philosophy.

Must submit and pass TB test

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide essential personal assistant services such as bathing, dressing, bowl/bladder management, transfer assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping and other tasks as outlined on consumer’s Person-centered Service Plan.

Ability to lift, bend and perform other physical tasks as directed by the consumer or supervisor.

Ability to travel when needed.

Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and evenings.
-
Ability to be punctual and dependable.
-
Ability to be respectful of all individuals for whom you work, both in the community and in the office setting.
