Manager of Personal Assistance Services

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

​

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Rehabilitation, or a related field.

  • 1-2 years of direct experience in an Administrative or Management position.

  • Proficiency in computer software.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Verbal and written fluency in English.

  • Team-oriented with proven related experience.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently when necessary.

  • Willingness to be on-call via cell phone to ensure priority care and back-up for PAS staff.

  • Must be able to travel for consumer services within the 9 county coverage area, and for meetings and conferences throughout the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The PAS Manager will ensure that the PAS staff is performing all required duties as defined by the Department of Human Services and the  Department of Health. The PAS Manager will provide his/her staff with the necessary support and guidance to perform the duties of the job.

  • Work with Quality Compliance Director to ensure consumer satisfaction and when necessary implement corrective action plans.

  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with Service Coordination Providers.

  • Continue to promote growth and increase PAS numbers on an ongoing basis.

  • Anticipate program growth and increased staffing needs in the PAS Department.

  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing maintenance of HHA Exchange and Electronic Visit Verification.

  • Ensure the Independent Living Philosophy remains the foundation of our Program with respect to the delivery of services.

  • Serves as part of the leadership team and makes decisions in the Executive Director’s absence.

  • Complete all designated reports.

  • Provides consumer advocacy services as appropriate.

  • Develop and participate in program evaluation to ensure effectiveness and compliance with program standards.

  • Participate in resource development for the specific needs of consumers or the program needs. Provides cross-training to other RTFCIL staff on the PAS program.

  • Inputs, maintains, and records consumer data into RTFCIL and the designated PAS databases.

  • Promotes community awareness on PAS and other RTFCIL’s programs.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of designated training needs of staff and consultants.

  • Attends/participates in trainings, conferences, workshops, seminars, and other meetings.

  • Performs duties according to RTFCIL confidentiality guidelines for the protection of consumer information as required under the US-DHH HIPAA Regulations.

  • Participate in outreach activities, workshops, or seminars in areas of independent living, The American’s with Disabilities Act, assistive technology programs, and advocacy.

  • Works a flexible work schedule to accommodate the RTFCIL’s needs as applicable.

  • Ensures all work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Performs all duties commensurate with the RTFCIL Policy & Procedures Manual.
